Shiny Hammer

Moto Guzzi 1000 SP 1981

The main modification on this project is the full aluminum body handmade in my workshop. The main idea was to start with a known design for the fuel tank and then go a little more unusual on the front fender. I wanted a kind of weird Cafe Racer let’s say.

Versus to my previous projects, I wanted to avoid paint on this one as much as possible.

The frame is mostly stock, only shortened in the back to match the tail. I was thinking about having it painted in black or grey but finally decided to only brush it and add a clear coat on it to go along with the unpainted theme.

Wheels are custom Morad in 3.5 and 2.5x18. Beringer front master cylinder with a custom lever to match the clutch lever.

The exhaust is a one-off stainless straight pipe with integrated custom baffles.

Tarozzi rearsets, 36 mm Dell’Ortos, Fournales rear suspension, lowered front fork, Brembo disks in the front, custom rear master cylinder from a 50cc scooter with custom linkage, LED tail light, headlight from a Peugeot Ludix, Motogadget Motoscope pro dashboard with milled aluminum bracket, grey leather seat, roundened stock triple trees, Avon Roadrider AM26 Tires

All mods were made by myself in my Shiny Hammer Workshop except for the leather work.
